    Job Title: Merchandiser

    Department: Sales

    Reports to: Merchandising Manager

    Salary: $35,000-40,000


    Job Summary: 


    Displays beverage merchandise on shelves, coolers, vendors, showcases, and on sales floor of retail store to attract attention of prospective customers by performing the following duties.

     

    Essential duties:


    • Arranges products according to prearranged plan or own ideas approved by management.

    • Places price and descriptive signs on backdrops, fixtures, merchandise, or floor.

    • Transfers product from customer stockroom to floor displays coolers, vendors, to comply with “Sell By” dates, maximize product in store and minimize product in stock room.

    • Originates display ideas or follows suggestions or schedule of Branch Manager and Sales Manager or Presales Rep.

    • Constructs or assembles display aids from company provided Point of Sale (POS) materials.

    • Wears company provided uniform and present professional and well-groomed appearance.  

    • Other duties as assigned

    • Experience and Education

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

    • Communication Skills

    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in on-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.

    • Mathematical Skills

    Ability to add, subtract, multiple, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent and to draw interpret bar graphs. 

    • Reasoning Ability

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    • Computer Skills

    Basic computer skills required including accessing websites and sending / receiving        e-mails

    • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

    Valid WA State Driver’s License, maintain good driving record, and proof of Insurance.

    • Company Vehicles &Property

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is responsible for monitoring the maintenance of their company provided vehicle and reporting issues that arise to their immediate supervisor and the maintenance department.  Employees will refrain from using any vehicle that is not in full and safe working order.  All safety suggestions and regulations regarding vehicle use will be followed by employees.  This includes the use of seatbelts and hands-free cell phone equipment.  


    All employees that take home company vehicles are required to keep a mileage log showing total business and personal usage.  


    Company vehicle are to be driven by Weinstein Beverage employees.  


    Employees should keep their use of the company vehicle for personal use to a minimum.


    Employees are also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of their vehicle. (inside and out)
